New Delhi: Congress has been seeking an audience with President RAM Nath Kovind on Lakhimpur Kheri’s violence to present a memorandum on the facts of the case.
Secretary General AICC (Organization) KC Venugopal has written to the President who is looking for time to meet a party delegation led by Rahul Gandhi.
In addition to Gandhi and Venugopal, other delegation members will become AK Antony, Malikarjun Kharge, Ghulam Prophet Azad, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Adhir Ranjan Choudhury Violence broke out in Lakhimpur KHI Uttar Pradesh during a farmer protest on October 3.
The murder case has been registered with the Union Minister for Ajay Kumar Mishra’s home Son Ashish who was accused of running on farmers.
Ending the cutting of farmers with SUVs included in the Union minister “The incident surprised the massacre of a large day”, Venugopal said it had shaken the conscience of the entire nation.
He said the Congress had been looking for an appointment with the earliest president to present him in detailed memorandum for October 3 violence.
He accused that regardless of the supple protest and the intervention of the Supreme Court, there was no decisive action taken both against the guilty or minister.
