New Delhi: Congress on Tuesday said it would make a massive national membership drive from November 1 and will also fight “ideological battles” to “conquest of democracy” through the training program.
The party made a statement after the Secretary General meeting, on charges and President of the Pradesh congress led by the President of the Sonia Gandhi Party.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was also present at the meeting and participated in deliberations.
Overcome the press conference after the meeting, Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala said it had been resolved by the party to travel a massive membership from November 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
He said that it was unanimously agreed that the Congress would do it around every corner and Angles, every ward and village throughout the country and offer Indians in remote parts, a platform for their aspirations.
Special emphasis was placed on the first voter registration as a member of the Indian National Congress, he said.
Surjewala said that the party will also carry out an ideological training program to fight “systematic attacks released by BJP / RSS not only in the ideology of Congress but on the basics of core justice, equality and affirmative actions that are immortalized in the constitution”.
“The meeting expressed concern over the systematic conquest of democracy in a non-constitutional way and almost holds every institution that was captured by the behavior and caprics of the powerful elite,” Surjewala said.
He said the party had decided to fight “ideological battles” of “conquest of democracy” through the training program.
Congress will hold massive agitation on inflation called ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ from November 14-29, said Surjewala, added that this would be the first phase and the announcement of the next phase would be made later.
