Mysuru: Congress leaders and workers will conduct a diamatra from January 9, 2022 demanding that the Mekedatu project work starts earliest, said Congress leader VR Sudarshan is here on Sunday.
“Soyatra will start from Mekedatu and end up in Bengaluru,” he said.
Indicates that it will be a bipartisan movement, Sudarshan said that leaders from BJP and JD were welcome to participate in inyatra.
“Our goal is to urge the government to immediately start working on the project.
After completion, it will benefit farmers in 10 districts, and ensure sufficient supply of drinking water for everyone in the region,” he said.
Sudarshan said that the Congress would invite Kannada activists, the leaders of farmers to participate in inoyatra.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar will share the mission of the soyatra in Talacauvery, after offering Puja to the Cauvery River at his birthplace on December 24, Sudarshan said.
“Bengaluru Rural MP DK Suresh will be responsible for organizing in the heart, which will last 10 to 12 days,” he added.
KPCC President Sudarshan said, I was going to tour MySuru from December 23.
“He will meet with the community as part of the drivers of the Congress Membership,” Congress leader added.
