New Delhi: Congress will reach other opposition parties to establish a shared foundation to corner the BJP government in the Monsoon Parliament session from Monday, with the party providing coordination tasks to opposition leaders at Rajya Sabha Malikarjun Kharge.
The focus of outreach specifically will be TMC which is likely to play an active role in parliament.
At the meeting of the parliamentary strategy group on Wednesday, President Sonia Gandhi Congress emphasized the management of the floor in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and also coordinating between party wings in two houses about strategy problems.
The meeting – attended by Rahul Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh, Lok Sabha’s leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Jairam Ramesh, Anand Sharma, manager LS K Suresh, Gaurav Gogoi, Manick Tewari and Manish Tewari – did not discuss the issue of leadership at home.
There is already media speculation, the party can replace Chowdhury.
