New Delhi: Congress can immediately go for the cabinet reshuffle at Chhattisgarh, where the difference between two senior leaders – Chairman of the Minister of Bhupesh Baghel and T S Singh Deo – can be a snowball into the crisis.
According to the Ian news agency, several MLA congresses from the country came to New Delhi to meet senior leaders and told them about the state of the state.
Earlier this week, the two leaders had met the former Congress President Rahul Gandhi who were annoyed with leadership of cilting in other state-ruled states.
Baghel on Wednesday said that he would resign from his position when the Sonia Gandhi party’s interim party and the party leader Rahul Gandhi ordered him to do so.
However, in a veiled attack on T S Singh Deo, Baghel slammed those who demanded the leadership of rotation in the state.
“I will step down when Sonia and Rahul Ji ordered me.
Those who talked about the plan 2.5 years trying to bring political instability but would never succeed,” he told reporters when he arrived at Raipur to Delhi.
Deo reportedly has increased the problem of rotational leadership in the state, with Baghel completing half of the term of office as ministerial heads.
However, after the meeting of the two leaders with Rahul Gandhi, the responsible Chhattisgarh Congress, Pl Punia said, “There was no discussion about leadership changes.” There are several reports of the difference between Baghel and Deo, with the latter lobby for months to replace the Head of Baghel.
On July 27, Deo walked out of the Assembly said, “too much” after the opposition created a shower demanding the probe of the house panel to Congress Mla Brihaspat Charge Singh that the minister was behind the attack on him.
Meanwhile, BJP has locked Baghel’s statement about political instability and said the minister’s head must clarify who tried to disrupt his government.
