CALANGUTE: Former Sarpanch Calangute Joseph Sequira, who did not succeed in fighting for the last assembly as a Congress Callangute candidate against Michael Lobo BJP, said on Tuesday he was ready to compete again if he was given a congressional ticket for the election of the Congress.
Speaking with reporters in Calangute, Sequeira said Congress in Calangute had decided to gather to defeat the minister to the Port of Michael Lobo.
“We are three leaders of Congress in Calangute, former MLA Agnelo Fernandes, Lawrence Silveira (Congress candidate in the election of the last Zilla Parishad) and myself,” he said.
“Anyone who gets a ticket, we will all support the candidate.
If I don’t get a ticket and Agnelo or Lawrence get a congressional ticket, then I will support it and send Michael Lobo’s house.
He’s finished,” he said, adding he would not compete on a ticket Other parties or as independent if he did not get a congressional ticket.
For a query, he said if the political situation changed and Michael Lobo contest as a congressional candidate, no one of the three leaders who would support the Congress candidate.
“There are no questions for Congress voters who support Michael Lobo if he was given a congressional ticket,” Sequeira said.
In the past, Sequeira had played a role in getting a lobo selected as a BJP candidate in the 2012 Assembly and confirmed the defeat at that time Congress Mla Agnelo Fernandes.
