Nagpur: Connecting Details of Aadhaar Students with staff recruitment agreements have submitted challenges, especially for grant schools, because this makes them vulnerable to be launched from their current institutions and transferred anywhere in the state.
The number of teachers in school giving aid is related to the number of students registered, but with many of them do not have aadhaar cards, the ‘registration’ number can go down.
If the registration figure violates certain benchmarks, then the teacher will be categorized as ‘advantages’ and the Ministry of Education has the authority to move it to any school in the state where there is a lack of teachers.
Grant-in-Aid schools are managed by private trust but the salary is paid from government cash, therefore education here is free.
On September 14, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) issued a letter to the principals, by saying that the details of Aadhaar students had to be uploaded by September 29.
Priti Mishrikotkar, Education Officer (NMC) said “This applies to all schools of all councils.” So far in Nagpur, only 74% of students have aadhaar details have been updated.
While this applies to school grants and non-grants, it’s the first to be very worried.
Ravindra Fadnavis, the carrier of the Maharashtra Office of Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal (MRSSM), said, “In the worst scenario, our teacher will be marked as an advantage and there will be no teacher to teach students.” He explained that the Aadhaar Linkage of Teacher Hideing was not practical.
“According to the law, we can have one teacher for the first 30 students.
Let’s take a hypothetical situation and assume that there are only 30 students at school, so I can hire one teacher.
But if these 20 students don’t have aadhaar cards, my official registration is official.
Only 10, which means that no teacher to be allocated and the school will be forced to close, “Fadnivis said.
He said this would be a violation of the rights to education (RTE).
“So even though there are 30 children who want to study, the government can turn off school because 20 of them do not have aadhaar cards.
It will be illegal,” Fadnivis said.
Other academics said because the restrictions of Covid-19, the Aadhaar center also did not function and many parents were also afraid to bring their children there.
“September 29 is too close, time must be given to at least December 31,” he said.
