New Delhi: Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday accused the center of hatching “conspiracy” to “trapped” him after the enforcement directorate conducted a search operation at his nephew’s home and office and found some “burdensome documents” related to business transactions and property Sand mining.
Previously today, Ed revealed that more than RS 10 Crore Cash, Gold worth around RS 21 Lakh and Rolex Watch worth RS 12 lakh confiscated during search operations.
Raids Ed was conducted in connection with the probe into the accusations of money laundering associated with the case of illegal sand mining in 2018, the agency statement said.

On the basis of information available, the investigation began on the owner of the mine above and their colleagues to ensure money laundering activities carried out by them to wash the results of their crimes, said their statement.

“It is very sad that the relatives of the minister of the chairman are being raided for sand mining,” Kejriwal said, adding that his previous party leader had exposed how illegal sand mining occurred in the constituency of Chambaur Sahib.
“Despite revealing it, the minister’s head did not take action and even tried to justify it.
It was clear that he (cm) and his family were involved in illegal sand mining.
What is expected for the future of the punjab from the family whose family is involved in illegal mining,” he said.
