New Delhi: The Head of the Delhi Police Chief received a bullet injury at the task line during a clash between two groups in the Kotapur area on Saturday, officials said.
According to the police, a team includes Constable Giriraj’s head reaching a place where some people gather and clashes, responding to PCR calls around 1.40 in the morning.
Someone from the meeting fired a bullet that hit Giriraj on his thigh.
A civilian, identified as Rohit, also suffered an injury to his leg, police said.
Giriraj rushed to Apollo Hospital and his condition was stable.
His statement was recorded and the case under the relevant section was registered at the police station office and investigation was ongoing, a senior police officer said.
Found during the investigation that members of drunk groups.
Three people – Sunny, Mahendra and Rajendra (all Gautampuri residents) – have been arrested and one country-made gun and one live cartridge has been restored in their example, the officer said.
According to the police, the incident took place on a very narrow track.
The police team is well equipped, but does not reply because of the presence of women and children, they add.
