Sindri: Vijay Yadav, a police officer from the Dhanbad police station has been suspended on charges of negligence in the Adj MTTAM Anand “murder”.
SSP Sanjiv Kumar on Saturday said it was revealed during the CBI interrogation that the cellphone handset used by the Autorickshaw driver defendant Lakhan Verma was a stolen person and the owner had filed an official complaint with the Dhanbad police station but no cases were registered.
“The owner of the cellular handset showed a copy of his complaint received by Vijay Yadav’s signature, which worked as a Munshi (Constable Merkey) Police Station,” he said.
This is the third suspension in this case.
Previously, officers responsible for the Patddih police station were suspended.
A Dhanbad police station sub-inspector was also placed under a suspension because it made the video autorickshaw knock down viral judges.
Meanwhile, the notice was presented to the team of doctors who did postmortem from the judge who died to appear before the CBI investigation team.
The Jharkhand High Court, in his hearing about the case on Thursday, has directed the CBI to investigate a 1.5-inch inner pan injury in the dead judge’s head as mentioned in the postmortem report.
Postmortem on the camera was carried out before senior district and police officials by the team of doctors.
