New Delhi: This center has agreed to the construction of a house of 3.61 lakh in 17 states and the United States under Pradhan Mantri Wear Yojana (urban), taking the total number of houses approved based on the scheme to 1.14 crores, said statement on Wednesday .
Approval was provided by the Sanctions Committee and Central Monitoring (CSMC) chaired by the Housing of Trade Unions and Urban Secretary Durga Shanker Mishra on Tuesday.
In the statement, the Ministry of Unity and Urban affairs said that from 1.14 Crore approved by a house, more than 89 lakh had been based on construction and 52.5 lakh finished and delivered to beneficiaries.
It stated that the Secretary has asked the state and the United States to resolve problems without delay so that the construction of houses can be accelerated.
The total investment under the mission is Rs 7.52 Lakh Crore, with the help of the center of Rs 1.85 lakh Crore, the ministry said, adding so far, RS 1.13 Lakh Crore has been released.
In the meeting, Mishra also resembled new emphasis to accelerate housing construction and completion throughout the country in the time determined under PMAY-U so that the purpose of ‘housing for all’ in 2022 can be achieved, the statement stated.
At the CSC meeting, the e-Finance module was also launched by Secretary Hua.
The e-Finance module has been integrated with all system modules mispay-u and designed, developed in the PMAY-U system forg with the aim of providing a unique platform for all stakeholders to disbursement of funds through direct benefit transfer mode and to validate.
Beneficiaries, it is also stated.
