Noida: Construction of the City of Noida Film, a Pet Project for Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, is likely to begin in January 2022, said state government officials Monday.
The city of film, to be developed on a public-private partnership model with an estimated cost of RS 6,000 Crore, was proposed to appear in the sector 21 Industrial Development Authority Yamuna Expressway (Yeida) in Gautam Regency Buddh Nagar, officials said.
“Preparation for the construction of the city of film in Yeida City is in a full swing with the approval of the detailed project report (DPR) submitted to the recent state government by CBRE Consulting Company South Asia Private Limited,” Yeida CEO Arun VIR VIR Singh said.
“CBRE must now get a bidding document that is ready in three weeks, after that the global tender will float where domestic and foreign companies will be able to participate,” Singh said in a statement.
Officers said the selection of companies to build film films in three phases will be completed on December 31 and there will be a 40-year agreement with the company, adding construction work is likely to begin in January next year.
“However, it will not be a lease agreement and the company will be given permission to build a film film.
Spread over the 1,000 hectare area, the film Sprawling will be built with an estimated cost of Rs 6,000 Crore,” Singh said.
The city of film will be built on the PPP model (Public-Private Partnership) in three phases and in the first phase, studio, open area, amusement parks and villas will be built, according to officials.
In December last year, the Chairman of the Adityanath Minister had announced his decision to build a “world-class film city” in the state.
Furthermore, 1,000 hectares of land were identified in sector-21 Yeida for this purpose, officials said.
