‘Construction site rules frout, but no action’

Noida: A group of residents has marked several violations of pollution norms at construction sites in the city and written to the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM), looking for its intervention.
Residents accused them of not receiving responses from the Uttar Pradesh pollution control body despite several tweets on violations.
“Winters are approaching and every year, we deal with toxic air levels.
Almost no 15-20 good air.
However, there seems to be any action for violations at the construction site.
Dust is a big problem in most sites sites this.
They are not covered by the prohibition or sprinkled water over there, “said Amit Gupta, the complainant and members of the Progressive Community Foundation.
Gupta continued said that the Noida Authority contractor had damaged several roads.
“They only explore the way to repair pipes and other maintenance work and let it in that condition for days.
Mechanical sweeping is only done on paper.
We can hardly see these machines,” he added.
UPPCB officials in Noida said checks were carried out every time they receive complaints and offenders were fined also because it caused air pollution.
The source said UPPCB was a short staff and had worked in half of its capacity for years.
