Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Consumer Consumer Consumer Rundressal commission has become the first to apply collaborative online disputes in this country.
The innovative model is redressal -Troduced by the Commission to avoid restrictions and limitations related to Covid – has completed 113 cases through this mechanism in July.
This system allows their parties or advice to make phone calls to the court master and reveal their willingness to include their cases in e-adalat.
The Commission then expressed readiness to other parties and repaired the date for settlement of online disputes.
The parties will be informed through their cellphone numbers and provide all technical support to join the electronic court room using Google Meet.
“The resolution of online disputes will make the eligible parties for the return of court costs that they have paid well by means of legal deposits or other modes, with flowers that still have to be paid,” said the President of Justice Commission Commission K surendra Mohan to Tii.
Resolution online completion has taken 285 cases in July 2021 where 113 was resolved through it.
This includes the problem of the Kerala Water Authority (KWA), the Kerala state electricity council, medical negligence issues, flat purchasing disputes and other consumer related problems.
Kwa has completed 25 cases via e-adalat and restoring many water connections to their consumers.
After an emergency and restrictions related to Covid, the Commission relies on hybrid and e-adalat hearing.
Hybrid hearing uses video conference facilities and traditional mode of personal appearance before the commission.
It handles around 120 cases based on daily (on average) on weekdays and hears 20 to 25 cases.
Friday exclusively set aside for newly introduced e-adalat and the Commission has a plan to continue the shipping mode of justice even on the Post-Pandemic Days.
“We will take all the earnest efforts to resolve all peaceful disputes and return costs to persecutors with an interest in a fast way,” Justice Mohan said.
The Commission also provides legal assistance to people behind economically.
The commission has reached the previous main editor to introduce online internship facilities for law students in the state and outside.
