Consumer Forum Furniture Firm orders to compensate for Ludh Man for delay

Ludhiana: Redressal Commission Consumer Disputes have ordered the Local Branch of Classic Classic and Bangalore’s office to pay compensation to customers for alleged delays in the kitchen supply to him and damaged installations.
The commission consisting of President K K Kareer and Jaswinder members Singh ordered Indian classic carpenters Private Limited, Branch of Jalan Ferozepur, and Bangalore office to pay Rs 75,000 as composite components to Consumer Sunil Pillay of Brown Road, Ludhiana.
In his complaint, the complainant said that he was building his house and wanted to have all the luxury in his newly built house.
Carpenters Classic India Private Limited, Ferozepur Road Branch and Bangalore’s office represents a complainant that they are a franchise of the third opposite party, which is an Italian company.
They promised that they would provide a lifetime warranty for the kitchen.
The opposite parties signed a contract with a complainant on November 25, 2017 and received a total of 25,000 Rs against acceptance.
According to the contract, the opposite parties are receiving a total number of Rs 21 Lakh against the kitchen installation.
They received a number of Rs.10.50,000 on November 25, 2017 drawn at ICICI Bank.
The payment mode in accordance with the contract is 50% down payment, 30% on arrival at CCI (Carpenters Classic India) warehouse and 20% on shipping on a site that is different from the standard form of the contract provided for 70% of the total.
Citing the value in advance and 30% on the arrival of the kitchen at CCI Warehouse.
Comprising that accusing contrary to the provisions of the contract, the opposite parties send the kitchen after delays more than 160 days while in accordance with the condition clause, the kitchen must be installed in 150 days since the signing of the contract.
In addition, they began demanding payments that violated the contract.
They demanded balance payments of rs 10.50,000 even before shipping the kitchen from their warehouse.
The complainant pays the balance of Rs 10.50,000 on May 3, 2018.
He further accused that during the installation of the kitchen, employees of the opposite parties are very uncooperative and behave roughly with a complainant.
In the contract, the opposite party has agreed to supply waterproof plywood work with installation material in Indian granite with nonsense and the same cost is included in the contract of Rs 97,785.
However, because it did not supply work works by them, the complainant had to buy the same from Ludhiana himself to avoid the delay in the kitchen installation.
They even refused to return the cost of work work even though they agreed to do it via email on July 2, 2018 with a 10% discount RS 9,779 as a coordination fee and a discount of Rs 3,960.
