Mumbai: With new initiatives, train networks and Sugarbox networks called services ‘content on request’ on the local train, passengers can enjoy watching movies, TV shows and free news while traveling, Railways India officials said.
According to an official, travel passengers will now be full of entertainment.
Lakh people travel every day on the Mumbai local train.
To travel more interesting and comfortable, the central train has started the ‘content on request’ services on the local train from Friday.
Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway said Central Railway was the backbone of public transportation in Mumbai.
“We watch footsteps 45lakh days every day throughout our suburban network during pre-covid time.
Often, for passengers, this trip is the opportunity to spend time without interruption on their devices.
And if we can empower them just by integrating technology.
Into our services, then it can strengthen our goals to live in the future and customer-centric, “Lahoot said.
Talking about creating a solution for the central train, Rohit Paranjpe, Co-Founder and CEO, the Sugarbox network says that Mumbakar spends most of their timetravelling, there is a need to ensure they have access to digital connectivity without interruption during transit.
“Through this partnership, we aim to make Mumbai stellar examples of transit connectivity and make it digitally equipped travel lines,” he added.
The service is completely free, passengers do not need to pay additional fees for this service.
In addition to watching entertainment shows, passengers can shop without spending internet data.
To enjoy free services, travelers must download the ‘App Sugarbox’.
With the help of the central train and Sugar network, this service is new starting from 10 local train central train, however, in the coming months, this service will begin in all trains, officials said.
Sugarbox won’t charge anything, it’s free, there is no complexity of the network, passengers can listen and watch movies, serials, news songs snd without interruption, he added.
