Sindri: contract workers with private outsourcing companies from Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd (Hurl) died in mysterious state on Friday night while duty.
After death, other contract workers stopped working and demanded permanent work and compensation to the relatives of the victims.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar Singh (26) who worked an electrician for technip India, the main contractor for Hurl.
He is on duty on Friday night shift.
The source said three of his colleagues were reported to go hiding.
Singh’s body, who did not bear the signs of injury, found on Saturday morning.
The supervisor, who was present at night Shift, was also destroyed by other contract workers but he could not give any reason that could cause Singh’s death.
Hurl General Manager H S Chouhan said the cause of death could be ascertained only after police investigation.
The inspector was responsible for the Sindri police station, Suresh Prasad, said they could send the body for inspection only after family members from the deceased agreed to surrender the body.
