New Delhi: A 62-year-old woman was locked up in her room in the Northwest City model area of Delhi by the chef and her two colleagues made of electronic gadgets, said the police on Monday.
One of the defendants, Devender Saud (35), the villagers in Kailali District Nepal had been arrested in a robbery case, while the police were looking for cooks, Lokesh (34), and other colleagues who had fled.
The incident took place on Saturday around 7:30 p.m.
when the elderly woman was alone at her house when her son and other family members went on vacation in Goa, police said.
According to the police, on the day of the incident, they cooked Lokesh, who had lived with the family for the past half a year, called two of his three colleagues and after consuming liquor, limiting him to his room.
They escaped with one cellphone and two tablets from other rooms.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Usha Rangnani said a case was listed under Section 392 (penalties for robbery) and 34 (actions carried out by several people in the continuation of general intentions) from the Town model police code.
“The rapid action by the police team led to the arrest of one accused, Devender Saud, who was a Lokesh partner.
It was found that the police verification of their servants was not done.
Lokesh and other colleagues are efforts to escape and further.
Made to arrest them , “he said.
