Coimbatore: About 60 maintenance workers employed on contracts at Ward 44 participated in strikes on Wednesday against non-payment of July salaries.
Not yet said some workers have received their salaries recently, many have not received it.
The delay provided salaries to leave them and their family members in a difficult situation, they said.
For some workers, while the contractor concerned has paid their organizing funds because their PF accounts, they have not received their salary.
“We accept a message stating that the number of PF contributions has been paid to our PF account.
But we have not received our salary.
Senior officials must immediately intervene and ensure that we get a salary before 10 every month according to the contractor,” said a conservation worker .
