Cop among 3 booked for suicide reduction

Ghaziabad: Three people, including a police officer Delhi, has been booked by the Ghaziabad police on charges of reducing suicide.
On July 31, a 40-year-old man allegedly killed himself by consuming toxic substances.
Police said the defendant had refused to return Rs 30 Lakh because of him.
The victim needed money because he had taken a loan from his friends after his business was affected during the pandemic.
The defendant has been identified as Vijay Pal Nagar and his son Mohit – Gautam Budh Nagar residents – and Connectable Maninder Dhama.
The name of the victim is Rakesh Singh.
In accordance with his family members, Rakesh has provided a loan of Rs 17 Lakh to Vijay in 2017 and Rs 14 Lakh to Maninder in 2019.
Kuldeep, Rakesh’s younger brother, said that his business suffered losses because he took a loan from his friends.
“People start returning to asking for their money, but Rakesh can’t pay them back.
The only hope is that the two defendants returned their money.
But they refused and insulted him,” he said.
“Pegawasan has threatened my brother that if he visited his house again, he would file a fake case against him,” said the brother.
“On July 30, Vijay and his son Mohit called my brother in their home with the pretext of paying money back.
My brother left but they assumed him.
Brother also talked to the police on the phone but he also refused.
On July 30, my brother consumed several toxic substances.
When we took him to the hospital, he died during treatment.
“Amit Kumar, Sho from the Kotwali police station said that on the basis of complaints, FIR was registered with all three accused of the Section 306 (Suicide Reduction) IPC.
