Coimbatore: Inspector of the city traffic police bought a new bicycle for small children who lost their bicycle in an accident on Jalan Thagam two weeks ago.
Subash Chandrabose, 14, a class IX student from a dairy company on Jalan Thagam, also worked at Panipuri Warung at Puram Hospital.
His father was the driver of the autorickshaw while his mother was a daily wage worker.
Subash produces Rs 100 per day.
He went to work on a bicycle belonging to his friend in the same area.
Two weeks ago, the boy returned home during the night after finishing his job when a fast car hit a bicycle from behind.
Subash suffered a severe head injury but the driver of the car escaped.
The bike was completely broken.
“I was told about the condition of the boy’s family and he would work during a pandemic to produce a family.
So, I visited the boy’s house and met his parents and neighbors, who told me that Subash loved his bicycle and they planned to raise money to buy bicycles It was only for him, “said Singh City Traffic Police Inspector.
After Subash returned home from the hospital, Prathap Sing took him to a bicycle shop and bought him a new cycle.
The inspector was criticized by Rs 4,800 from his pocket to buy a bicycle for Subash.
