MUSSORIE: On Sunday, the curfew in the mountain city kicked at 1pm.
Seven hours after, sub-inspector Neeraj Kathait hurried to Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra along with his loved ones, taking a stroll.
Kathait issued a challan for never wearing masks correctly and also for defying curfew, and Batra, in wrath, threw the challan number in him all recorded in a movie which was shared broadly.
On Thursday, Kathait was moved, reports Anmol Jain.
“The sub-inspector’s move was arranged from the SSP’s workplace,” Mussoorie team officer Narendra Pant told TOI.
Kathait is currently likely to take more than his responsibilities from the little city of Kalsi, approximately 40km in Dehradun.
From the movie, Kathait can be heard asking the MLA,”Just how are you currently drifting about without masks without the social distancing? Roaming about is not permitted.” Batra requested him to”be considerate” and stated he and his family had their own masks on the whole moment.
His son is subsequently heard stating they had been coming into the resort.
Kathait stated Batra would need to pay a challan of Rs 500, and then Batra flings the money in him and walks off.
On Sunday, CO Pant had stated,”The officer was only following directions.
But we’ve established a query.” On Thursdayhe stated,”The officer had finished three years at Mussoorie and was expected to a transport.” As news of the move disperse, sailors whined him online and offline.
The Mussoorie Dealers’ Association filed a memorandum to the CM encouraging Kathait and fulfilled with the tehsildar using a petition to halt his move.
“The MLA violated law.
The Devil took actions and needs to be applauded, not penalized,” said Rajat Aggarwal, president of this organisation.
WhatsApp classes were immediately formed.
“This could demoralise the police force.
They’d refrain from taking strict action against violators later on,” a neighborhood posted in a bunch.
Still another wrote,”Authorities must first enquire if the man is still an MLA before devoting a challan to some violator.” Opposition Congress stated it would start an agitation if Kathait wasn’t reinstated.
“We urge the authorities to reverse the sub-inspector’s move.
This was that the MLA who had been violating the principles,” additional Gaurav Agarwalla, president of their celebration’s Mussoorie unit.
