COP Dies After Car Hits CheckPost at Jaipur-Sikar Road

Jaipur: Police Traffic Police were killed after a quick car hit a checkpoint on Jalan Jaipur-Sikar on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Constable Sanjay Yadav (32), Indigenous People Jhunjhunu, which was deployed at the checkpoint on Jalan Sikar under the Harmada Police Office area as part of city security settings for the New Year.
According to ACP (Crime) Ajay Pal Lamba, passengers in the car are allegedly drunk.
Sho (Harmada) ML Vishnii said the accident occurred shortly after 4am when the police along with other police stood behind a row of barricades.
The Corolla car crashed into a barricade.
The incident triggered panic and confusion among police staff posted in checks.
They rushed Yadav to the hospital where he then gave up on his injury.
Other police there also had near shaving, but they fled unscathed.
The police said the car connected the road and the front was twisted due to an accident.
According to Lamba, the driver and passenger have escaped.
DCP (West) Richa Tomar said the police had detained several people present in the car.
Police said Yadav had joined Rajasthan police in 2006 and lived with his family in the city.
Police Harmada said Yadav’s body was handed over to his family for the last ceremony.
The police also submitted a case.
