Srinagar: A police officer was killed and two more injured after terrorists attacked a police party in the South Kashmir District on Saturday night.
Previously on that day, a terrorist Al-Badr was killed in an anti-terror operation in the Chadoora area in the Central Kashmir Budgam district.
His colleague, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s operative, who managed to escape from Cordon, was arrested later from another location while hiding in a truck.
In the Pombay Kulgam area, a group of terrorists opened fire at a police party, where three police were injured.
They immediately shifted to the nearest hospital, where one of them – was identified as Constable Nesar Ahmed Warkay, a resident of Anantnag – who gave up during treatment, police J & K confirmed.
Shortly after the attack, the area was dropped and the search operation was launched to track the perpetrators, police said.
Previously on that day, a joint team from 50RR Army, police 181bn and J & K CRPF launched the Cordon-and-search operation in the Mochwa Chadoora area which acted on intelligence input on the presence of terrorists there.
During training, terrorists who hid were given the opportunity to give up but they fired a shot on security forces.
In the next shoot, Al-Badr terrorist, which was identified as Shakir Bashir Dar, was killed.
According to the police record, Dar – from Goripora in Awantipora, in the Pulwama District of South Kashmir – previously worked as let’s associate and had joined Al-Badr recently.
He is part of the group involved in various terror crimes and has several cases registered with it.

Acting on this information, the joint team from the Army Police, CRPF and Awantipora launched another Cordon-and-Search operation in the Mantaqi Khrew colony and arrested the second terrorist – Lashkar Operative Shabir Ahmad Najar, a resident of Wuyan Khrew – who was hiding in Wuyan Khrew – who was hiding In Wuyan Khrew – who hid in a truck.
The truck driver was also arrested and the vehicle was confiscated.
Security forces restored the Chinese gun, pistol magazine, seven pistol rounds, two AK magazines, 50 AK rounds, Chinese grenades and Ied 5kg, which were destroyed in place.
