When entering the barracks they found the body of Rai with his carium lying in his bed.
The news of the incident took officials on their toes.
Not only Verma and other officials from rural vanasi but many senior officers from the Varanasi Police commission also arrived there.
Details collected about Rai were cleared so that he belonged to the territory of the smell in Jaunpur District.
Officials said that he had arrived at the police armed from PAC.
Officials also investigated whether he had deposited arms and ammunition allocated to the police armory according to the rules or not.

His family including his wife and son – Shivam Rai and Priyanshu Rai have been told about the incident while the body was sent for postmortem.
