Kanpur: Station House Officer (Sho) from the Uttar Pradesh police suspended on Friday after the video in question appeared on social media that showed him a teenager when he held the children on his arm.
The incident took place outside the District Hospital in Akbarpur where the four-class employee of the hospital held a Dharna by placing the key on Thursday, Kanpur said SP Kumar Kumar Choudhary.
However, the police said the demonstrators led by Rajnish Shukla, who looked beaten in the video, forcibly brought doctors and patients out of the OPD.
After getting information about chaos, Akbarpur police led by sub-division officers, Kumar who were vague, Arun Kumar officers, and Sho Vinod Kumar Mishra reached the place and tried to persuade the demonstrators to end their Dharna and prevented them from blocking government work, SP said.
Shukla even bit Mishra’s thumb and was asleu, after that the police beat her with a stick, the SP Choudhary was claimed.
In the video that became viral on Thursday, the man could be heard shouting “Bacche Ko Lag Jayega” (the child would be injured).
The action was taken against Sho Mishra after additional intervention of DG (Kanpur zone), Bhanu Bhaskar, who instructed district officials to carry out the right investigation.
The police said that Sho had been suspended with the direct effect so that the incident could be checked in an impartial way.
Additional SP (Kanpur Dehat), Ghanshyam, has been asked to investigate this issue and submit the report, SP said.
According to the police, some fir has nested against Shukla and dozens of other people on charges of attacking officials and preventing them from issuing official duties.
Previously, a criminal case was registered against Shukla on charges of robbery and attack, SP said.
Meanwhile, Congress, the Jamajwadi Party and the Bahujan Party (BSP) went down to Twitter to condemn the incident.
