MADURAI: A sub-inspector connected to Sanarpatti police station in Dindigul district has been put under suspension for requiring 2000 as bribe to launch a two-wheeler which has been captured for lockdown breach. The Dindigul Range DIG S Muthusamy ordered suspension of the police officer according to a petition by the district superintendent of police Ravali Priya. A police officer stated the Balamurugan, 32, by Kalvelipatti nearby Natham approached the authorities officers to receive his car back. Vasu, the sub-inspector, that predicted up Balamurugan over telephone requested him to pay Rs 2000 a bribe to release the car without registering a situation. Although he didn’t take the bribe straight, Vasu requested Balamurugan to cover the cash to some man referred to him. Balamurugan listed the telephone and circulated it amongst his own buddies.
