Ramgarh: A 30-year-old man and his father was detained by the police here on Tuesday night after he allegedly released his pet dog to the police on duty outside the police line following the argument.
Ramgarh SP Prabhat Kumar said: “Ravi Ranjan Kumar and his father Abhishek Mehta was detained on Tuesday night because it appeared after it appeared that Kumar released his dog in one of our policemen in an effort to hurt or kill him.” Police Sarkyu Ram (50), who was on guard at the police gate, suffered a severe and bleed injury as much as possible after he was attacked by the German shepherd.
RAM was taken to a local hospital for first aid and then treated at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi.
In his complaint with the Ramgarh police station, RAM said that Kumar came out with a night walk with his dog.
Kumar brought a dog at the police line gate and let it defecate, which objected to RAM.
After a short quarrel, Kumar allegedly released his dog on RAM.
The police then filed FIR against Kumar based on RAM complaints.
Kumar, a software engineer, is a resident of Thana Chowk, which is a stone’s throw from the police line.
He will get married on Friday.
Mansu Gope, President of the Ramgarh Police Association, demanded a legitimate sentence against the defendant.
“We relate to RAM and his family and maintain their urgent need,” Gope said.
