Mumbai: Assistant Inspector Vikram Patil has been suspended from the city police the day after he reportedly attacked the cashier at the Swagat restaurant bar in Santa Cruz (e).
The department’s request began with Patil based on non-recognizable violations (NC) below section 323 (voluntarily causing injury) from the Criminal Code that had been submitted against it with the Vakola Police Station.
He is responsible for anti-terror cells.
The hotel staff said they would even serve food for patil if he was polite, instead he broke into illegally through the back door of the kitchen and created a commotion.
Patil’s actions were arrested at CCTV when he attacked the Ramdas Patil cashier (41) when he allegedly denied free food and alcohol.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) ranking officer will conduct an investigation into this matter.
Mumbai police spokesman DCP S Chaitanya confirmed to TOI that Patil had been suspended from style.
