THANE: The Thane crime division raided a residential construction in the town’s Panchpakhadi region and busted up a sexual racket on Wednesday.
While two actresses, such as a person who has functioned at a south Indian movie, were spared, authorities detained three individuals in connection with the racket.
The arrested have been identified as Sunil alias Vishal Uttamchand Jain, 42, also a resident of Goregaon, Hasina Khalid Memon, 45, resident of Shailesh Nagar, Mumbra and flat proprietor Sweety Chada, 47.
Cops raided the construction according to a tip-off and also sent a decoy customer who repaired Rs 3.60 lakh for the two sufferers, advised that a police officer.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed they enticed the girls by providing them handsome cash to tide over their catastrophe brought on by lockdown.
Jain and Memon functioned as a broker and solicited prospective clients for the transaction.
The authorities said they are probing whether there are some other accomplices of the accused.
A case was registered together with all the Naupada police station and additional evaluation is on.
