Cops put Fire out Kandivali, to be rewarded

MUMBAI: A group of five policemen would likely be rewarded with the division who set out a fire which had broken out at a chawl tucked off at the end of a narrow street on Tuesday.
The team decided not to await the fire brigade because there was a fear of the flame spreading.
The episode was reported in Janta Nagar at Poisar, Kandivali East.
A police team had been included at a demolition drive using the BMC near.
They had been advised of the flame and a few of them hurried into Janta Nagar.
“They moved off gas tanks from adjoining houses to avoid any explosion.
A few of the cops increased to your roof of a few of their chawls and targeted fire extinguishers in the ward,” stated senior inspector Anandrao Hake, Samta Nagar police station.
Even the cops suffered minor alterations.
A number of lives have been saved.
“We can reward them appropriately,” said regional added commissioner Dilip Sawant.
