Nagpur: In a scene right from a Bollywood potboiler, the town authorities rescued seven relatives held captive with an armed kidnapper on Friday afternoon.
Approximately 50 police personnel headed by DCP (offense ) Gajanan Rajmane descended on a home in Pipla Fata approximately 2.30pm following reports of a person entering a Mauser gun in a builder’s household and demanding Rs50 lakh as ransom.
Equipped cops surrounded the home of builder Raju Vaidya.
The whole drama lasted for around three hours using an kidnapper holding seven members of this Vaidya household swimmer.
Roads leading to the area were cordoned off while discussions with the accused lasted for about three hours.
