LUCKNOW: Following a viral movie revealed policemen utilizing plastic seat and cane as riot equipment against a telescope at Unnao, the DGP on Thursday sought an excuse from Unnao authorities on the conflict, which had been triggered by requirements of reimbursement following two individuals perished in a road crash.
Unnao authorities accused Bhim Army of instigating the violence.

Kulkarni told TOI on Tuesday, two guys on a bicycle — Rajesh and Vipin –perished in a road accident and the following day, households told authorities they’d cremate the bodies.
“But, a few members of Bhim Army incited the households and they put the bodies around the Rae Bareli-Unnao highway, obstructing the cerebral stretch into the city.
They also demanded Rs 20 lakh as compensation.
When police reached the area to pacify themmembers of Bhim Army began pelting stones .
At the ensuing strike, a couple cops continued injuries.
The problem has been brought under control once senior officers reached the place,” said Kulkarni.
He also added, 43 individuals were detained and based on photos along with CCTV footage and authorities were monitoring down Bhim Army associates to reserve them under strict IPC sections.
