Ahmedabad: News Minister Union Amit Shah on Saturday virtually inaugurated several projects in Gujarat and said that Covid had not yet stopped development in the state.
He also put the foundation stone for several projects in the state.
He said all the ongoing projects, worth Rs 5,300 Crore, testified with the encouragement of the development of Gujarat even during a pandemic.
Through a video link, Shah discussed the participants of an event held at Gandhinagar to mark the resolution of the Chairman of Gujarat Vijay’s Minister of Gujarat’s Five Years in Office.
It was celebrated as ‘Vikas Divas’.
“The inauguration of the project worth Rs 3,322 Crore on Saturdays and the launch of many projects for the past ten days shows that even during a pandemic, Gujarat ensures that development has never stopped,” Shah said.
The Minister of Home Union said that projects around the RS 900 Crore announced on Saturday were being held in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
He said that the country did not allow the rate of development to slow down during the pandemic that had affected the whole world.
“When the development wheel stops around the world, in India the rate of development continues under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Shah said.
“We struggled hard against Coronavirus and even won the fight, and at the same time, continuing the work of development.” Shah praised the leadership of Rupani and Deputy Chief of Minister Nitin Patel to ensure that after Modi became the prime minister (for the first time in 2014), development in Gujarat continues without interruption.
Rupani and Patel have been appointed as Minister of Chief and Deputy Minister on August 7, 2016.
They assume the office once again in December 2017 after BJP won again in the election of assembly.
Shah refers to the inauguration of two embilies that connect Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad, and water pipes.
He said he was grateful that the works were taken in his Sabha’s lok constituency.
Projects inaugurated on Saturday include work in placing a pipe at a cost of Rs 1,162 Crore under the scheme of Suaralam-Sufalam Jal Abhiyan.
To ensure the water supply through connection tap into every household Gujarat, work has been done at 1,632 village 23 districts at a cost of more than Rs 400 Crore.
“This is not a celebration of settlement of five-year government responsibilities.
It is our duty to bring these public service works to the masses,” said CM Kupani in his speech.
Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Union Road Transport and Highways, was almost dedicated to the nation of 3.75 km corridor which was elevated by four lines in the city of Desesa from Bansecha, together with Shah and Kupani.
