Sangli: Sambhaji Bhide right-wing leader, known for making a controversial statement, has made a new comment that connects the Covid-19 and Pandharpur Ashadi Wari case.
Bhide said that the Covid-19 virus grew because there was no permission for wari, and not only India, but the world would get rid of the virus after the wari.
On Wednesday, Bhide who headed Shiv Prolythan, met with the Sangli District collector Abhijeet Choudhary along with people from the Warkari community and handed the request permit for Wari.
Talk to the Sangli collector, said Bhide, “if we follow the traditions of the saints, all obstacles will end.” Declare that we all want Covid-19 Hindustan for free, Bhide is urgent that permission must be given for wari.
Pandharpur Wari’s procession, annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur to honor Sant Uaram and Sant Dnyaneshwar, reached Pune with ‘Palkhi’ of two famous Saints.
Bhide also demands that instead of taking palkists in a vehicle, permission for the Palm Palm procession with legs with limited people must be given.
Prostatha Shiv leader also claimed that the police did not stop them into liquor stores, but fine roaming without a mask.
Previously, Bhide had advised people not to wear a mask, stating that there was panic between stupid and foolish masses.
In June 2019, he said that several couples were blessed with sons after eating mangoes from his garden.
