Coronavirus sweeps through Thailand’s overcrowded prisons

BANGKOK: A coronavirus explosion sweeping throughout Thailand’s prisons has thrown the spotlight to the kingdom overcrowded irrigation system, in which a few prisoners have less area to sleep compared to the interior of a coffin.
Over 22,000 people have tested positive within jails, where offenders living cheek by jowl are invited to continue wearing their masks while they sleep.
