CORPN accelerates the approval of the building plan

Coimbatore: Commissioner City Corporation King Gopal Sunkara on Thursday said they have accelerated the process of giving approval to build plans for new structures and extension of existing buildings.
By stating that only 28% of the total applications they received were approved in early November 2021, Sunkara said the city planning department officials had approved 54.9% of other applications since then after he ordered them to speed up the process.
“Approval will be provided for the remaining applications, subject to fulfilling the required documents.” Sunkara also urges people to submit documents online.
Other City Corporation officials said they had faced several problems when migrating to software, causing files to pile up.
“While the entire process is made online, city planning officials make applicants visit their offices by keeping the application pending in letters and spirits.
