Chennai: Greater Chennai Corporation works to ensure zero water stagnation incident in this rainy city.
The Civic’s body appointed an IAS officer of zonal level monitoring officials ahead of the rainy season, is expected to start around October 27, and has held three meetings to overcome problems that always carry many areas to jam every year.
The Civic body maintains 31 canals in which 16 is in the core city area and 15 in the expanded region.
All channels have been folded before the rainy season.
