Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation has begun removing posters on the walls in the city.
The corporate commissioner has instructed officials to clean walls that have illegal posters.
The five road route roads will be taken per zone every day.
Most of these posters are stuck on the signs of signs of road names, government building walls, bus and other public wall shelter.
The corporation appealed to residents not to tarnish the city walls.
The Civic body has not told whether it will identify and punish the offenders.
However, have asked residents to advance and complain about the illegal posters.
They can use Helpline 1913 to complain.
