PUNE: The Dattawadi authorities on Monday filed a criminal case from a Pune corporator following a 57-year-old guy was found hanging from his bicycle mechanic on Monday.
The dead man’s 26-year-old kid declared that his dad committed suicide because he had been plagued from the corporator.
Police have registered a case under IPC sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504 (willful insults) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
“No suicide note has been discovered at the store.
The FIR was registered following the household of the deceased documented statements alleging the corporator was threatening the dead person as April this year,” senior inspector Krishna Indalkar told TOI.
“The complainant’s dad left because of his store at 8am on Monday.
He entered the store and downed the walls from indoors.
A paper delivery man found him hanging about 9am and raised the alert.
We’re still collecting evidence in the event and could record more announcements to establish that the claims created by the relatives,” Indalkar stated.
TOI tried to phone the corporator multiple occasions, but his telephone stayed switched off.
At the FIR, the complainant maintained that his dad had enabled a phone service provider to put in a cell tower to the patio of the own building.
The corporator, that represents a different defender, was demanding cash to make sure the tower wasn’t hammered by Pune Municipal Corporation, the FIR said.
The complainant alleged that when his dad refused to submit an corporator’s need, the latter needed a group in PMC dismantle the tower on June 10.
The FIR further said the corporator endangered to get their house demolished in an identical way.
“Unable to accept the emotional harassment, my dad committed suicide,” that the complainant alleged in the FIR.
