Corridor wildlife urban 1 in Delhi-NCR immediately

New Delhi: Delhi and Haryana Forest Department is working on an interstate plan to build a wildlife corridor on a busy road near Asola Bhatti wildlife asylum to provide a safe passage to leopards and other animals, officials said on Tuesday.
This will be the first corridor for wildlife management in the urban environment in the country, an official said.
Wildlife reserves covering the 32.71 km area in South Delhi Ridge Aravalli Hill Range is located in South Delhi and the northern part of Faridabad and the district of Gurugram from Haryana.
This is part of the North Leopard Wildlife corridor, which widespread from Sariska National Park in Rajasthan to Delhi Ridge.
The Ministry of Forestry Delhi, who has tried to provide a habitat enriched to the leopards in Asola Bhatti, tried to take advantage of the expertise of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in building underpasses on busy streets around Wildlife Sanctuary, according to Delhi Deputies forest conservators (Division South) Amit Anand.
On Monday, two-year-old women’s leopards were killed after being beaten by a vehicle in Pali Road in Faridabad.
This is the second incident like that in a year.
In October last year, the leopard was killed in an accident on a road near Mangar Village on Jalan Gurugram-Faridabad, according to division forest officers, Faridabad, Rajkumar Yadav.
Head of Delhi Natural History of Bombay Sohail Masan said about five leopards had died in the past five years on the streets that passed or bordered by wildlife asylum.
There are three main roads with solid traffic flow around the wildlife sanctuary – Surajkund-Faridabad Road, Gurgaon-Faridabad Road and Mehrauli-Standards Road – according to officials.
Another road that connects Chhatarpur in South Delhi to Mangar Village in Faridabad cut Sanctuary.
“We have talked to officials in Haryana.
We will cheat the right plan for wildlife corridors,” said DCF (South) Anand.
Every time there is a leopard towards Faridabad, he uses the same corridor – a stretch of Jalan Gurgaon-Faridabad and Jalan Pali Selatan Wildlife – he said.
“The road treasures the Leopard corridor …
we have to find a solution.
We will take advantage of DMRC’s expertise that will advise us about things to build a way down on Jalan Pali-Surajkund,” he added.
The two forest departments are looking to build several wildlife corridors in the region.
This is an interstate problem, so the plan will be made and the agents concerned will be approached, said an official.
Yadav said the idea was at a newborn stage, but “we will try to build three underpasses because some such incidents have occurred in the past”.
“The idea was questioned beforehand too, but could not be implemented.
This time, there are strong recommendations and we have taken it with senior officials,” he said.
BHTN has identified three places in Gurgaon-Faridabad Road and Pali Road where animals were killed while crossing the road.
“In all three places, Jalan Gurgaon-Faridabad and Pali Road ran along the sanctuary Water on the other hand.
This is where this accident occurred, “Madan said.
He said the leopard who died in an accident on the road on Monday could be one of the three cats.
