Nagpur: In the middle of the upper hype of the three controversial agricultural laws, farmers in Vidarbha remained indifferent because it was also during protests in Delhi.
The reaction in the Vidarbha rural remains low even as a group of members of the Sikh community in Nagpur rejoicing on the decision.
Here, farmers are concerned about the price of cotton and soybeans – two main plants in this region.
They are worried that the lobby of the textile and poultry industry might soon succeed in lowering the tariff of two plants.
While cotton is used to make threads, Soyabean is also a raw material for chicken feed.
The price of cotton, which has touched a cross as high as the RS8,500 Quintal period, has now dropped to the range of RS7,500 to RS8,000 Quintal.
Soybean rates are too jammed from the highest of all time of more than RS10,000 Quintal, now settling at RS5,600 to RS5,700 for a better class.
After more than a decade, the second level of plants have reached a level that farmers are always expected.
Sindadwar’s haze on the Yavatmal-Telangana border said that the cotton level has fallen on the RS900 touching the RS7,500 quintal.
Soyabean is in Quintal RS5,000 and hopes it must be at least RS6,000.
Former MP and Swabhimani leader Paksha Raju Shetti has initiated agitation looking for intervention to increase soybean levels.
In Maharashtra, sales of agricultural products have been permitted outside agriculture produce a marketing foundation (APMC) meter.
The state also allows contract agriculture.
“There is a little impact of all problems with farmers here.
In Maharashtra there are those who can get a license and even buy farms produce out of the APMC area.
Buying fresh vegetables doesn’t even need a license,” said Sudhir Kothari, Chairman of APMC in Hingangphat in the Wardha district.
Ganesh Nanote, a cotton planter from Akola, said that the textile industry and poultry lobby have made representation demanding the size to reduce the price of cotton and soybeans.
The farmers are confused because of low cotton results.
Nitin Khadse from Yavatmal said that the main concern was low cotton results.
Shetti party will continue agitation at the price of the Soyabean.
“Against the important commodity law (amendment) that is very important, the center imposes stock limits on soybeans.
This causes an accident at the product level, he said.” We also demand the purchase of doing the law in MSP mandatory.
Even if MSP is expressed for a number of plants, farmers even have to settle at a lower rate than that.
It must be made mandatory to buy a private trader in MSP, “he said , “he said.
On the other hand, consumer activist Shahid Sharif said revoking the important commodity law (amendment) would help keep the price under control.
