Council selection: Cong Gears up for a virtual campaign, prepare for a big battle

New Delhi: After the Indian Election Commission prohibits physical demonstrations until January 15 in five polls because of the surge in Covid-19 cases, the congress prepares to carry out virtual demonstrations.
According to sources of Congress, the green space will be arranged at the party headquarters in Delhi, the state capital and several districts from poll countries so that leaders can connect with people.
Green rooms will also operate from Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi residence, Sumber said.
Congress will also use a social media platform for digital campaigns.
Twitter will be used to regulate the narration of the latest data and Facebook and Instagram will be used on several problems.
Direct video content will be installed on the social media platform.
Sources state that parties will pay special attention to the contents of digital demonstrations.
Content will be new, attract attention and energize to involve the general public.
There are also proposals to hold 3D virtual demonstrations from great leaders, which have not been resolved, the sources stated.
Congress will also use local culture, language and folk songs during demonstrations to connect with people.
Indian election commission on Saturday, announcing the date for voting in five polls, directed that no physical and roadshow political demonstrations will be permitted until January 15 for assemblies in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand after Covid-19 surge.
“There is no physical shock of political parties or maybe other candidates or groups related to the election must be permitted until January 15.
The electoral commission will further review the situation and issue further instructions that are appropriate,” said Sushil Chandra (CEC).
“There is no roadshow, padatras, cycle or bicycle meetings and procession must be allowed until January 15.
The situation for review and new instructions will be issued later,” CEC said.
Uttar Pradesh will go to the poll in seven phases from February 10 to March 7; Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa to choose February 14 and Manipur to vote on February 27 and February 2.
Calculating votes for five poll countries will take place on March 10 in the election of upcoming assembly in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
There were 403 assembly chairs at Uttar Pradesh, 70 seats rose to be contested in Uttarakhand, 117 seats in Punjab, 40 seats in Goa and 60 seats in Manipur.
Of these 5 poll countries, BJP came to power in 4 states including Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
