Lucknow: Akhilesh Yadav’s SP on Monday launched the first list of 159 nominations for the first three phases of the upper assembly poll, trying to eliminate the idea that it was partial for Muslims and Yadav by choosing 48 OBC names from other communities.
The number of candidates from the Yadav sub-caste in the list stand in 15.
Achieving a balance between Muslims and Dalits, SP has reduced 31 ticket aspirants from these two groups, regardless of 11 women.
Nominations include 18 defectors, including those who crossed from BJP.
This list has nine Brahmin, as many candidates from the Vaish community and seven Thakurs.
“Arithmetic castes show a clear shift from Muslim-YADAV domination which is a feature of the party in most previous elections,” said an analyst.
Source said leadership has decided to maintain a rather similar template for the phase left in terms of accommodating castes, turncoats and aspirants for tickets among believers.
The list was officially confirmed the nomination of the Akhilesh party head from his pocket Borough Karhal, while Veteran SP who was imprisoned by Azam Khan had been revealed in his castle in Rampur.
Khan’s son Abdullah Azam is a party choice for neighboring seats.
Former Minister of Swami Prasad Maurya, who defected the SP from BJP recently, failed to get tickets for his son Utrisht – at least in the first list.
Umar Ali, son of the law of Maulana Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam from Jama Mosque in Delhi, will contest from a burgeon.
Uncle Akhilesh, Shivpal Yadav, will contest from Jaswantnagar Turf Home under the SP symbol.
The list of Turncoats who received tickets was led by former Minister of Dharam Singh Saini, who will oppose the nose chair.
Roshan Lal Verma has been placed in Tilhar the constituency of his house.
Former Mla Ramhetu Bharti, Bhagwati Prasad Sagar and Neeraj Maurya, who defected BJP together with Swami Prasad and Saini, also got a ticket.
Member of the former BJP Mukhiya Gurjar got a ticket from Hasanganj.
