NEW DELHI: There has been a time when girls cab drivers on town streets have been an uncommon sight.
Nowadays, there are dozens and dozens of these on the streets.
Nonetheless, this isn’t a joyous time for these, with over 150 of those getting lost their jobs throughout the ordeal.
Fortunately for them, Abhishek Dutt has established a guardian angel to its beleaguered ladies.
Dutt, spokesperson of all Indian National Congress, has spread a month’s return into the troubled drivers following a number of them reached him out after dropping their job contracts with 2 app-based taxi businesses.
Furthermore, he also wrote to National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma, stating the girls drivers were not able to make their livelihood and were not getting any assistance in any organisation.
“I believe that the government needs to come forward and offer help to them and protect all working girls and make sure they are not asked to leave as a result of lockdown, his letter stated.
“The authorities must make certain they are given some or jobs monthly stipend in order that they could support their own families.” Speaking to TOI, Dutt explained that in the majority of the situations, the girls were the only breadwinners in their loved ones.
“I’ve tied up with 2 large companies and have registered 120 girls in the counseling session together that they have an alternate job choice,” he explained.
Dutt has also spread rations to auto cleaners, paper sellers and others with similarly low carb degrees.
