Country Opens Chhath Ghats, Sunday Ban Lift in Shops

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Friday allows Chhath worshipers to perform their rituals on the lake, river, pond, and other waterbodies.
However, it has not allowed PANJAL times in Ranchi or in other parts of the country that is open to worshipers who trim the possibility of transmission of Covid-19 virus mass.
The Chhath festival is on November 10 while Puja times will be observed in 4.
November last year, the government has banned the entry of worshipers in Chhath Ghats but was forced to reverse his decisions after protests and public pressure from the opposition led by BJP.
The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) met under the leadership of Minister Hemant Soren at the State Secretariat on Friday afternoon.
After the deliberation, it raised the Sunday ban on the opening of a commercial company.
“SDMA also lifted a hat during working hours at a commercial company, which has been repaired until now at 8pm between Monday and Saturday,” said Minister of Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta after the meeting.
SDMA mandates that the existing guidelines during Durga Puja will be effective for Puja times too.
This means that while worshipers will not be permitted in a pandal, idols must be under five feet and pandal will be covered from three sides.
Decorative lighting, gate and loudspeakers will remain prohibited.
“Bhog will be sent on the doorway by each Puja Committee,” Gupta added.
SDMA also allowed the marriage to be held with a maximum of 500 people and the stadium (inside and outdoors) to open with a 50% seating capacity.
This will mean that the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) can allow the audience (50% of their seating capacity) into the stadium for the upcoming T20 international match between India and New Zealand on November 19.
SDMA also allows private coaching centers to hold offline classes for grade 10 upwards.
Previously, offline classes were allowed for students aged 18 years and over.
It also allows Angganwadi and swimming pool centers to open with the condition that the stream of Sevikas and athletes must be fully vaccinated.
