Bhubaneswar: The Rajendra University application for Grant of Recognition, after increasing it to the university, was rejected by the Grants University (UGC) Commission last year.
However, this problem was revealed on Friday when the Ministry of Higher Education wrote a letter to the commission asking him to re-examine this problem and gave recognition to the university located in the Balalanir district.
The institution has been seeking recognition in accordance with Part 2 (F) of the UU UU.
The Commission provides financial assistance to universities that meet the requirements, which are included in Section 2 (F), and are declared suitable to receive central assistance (UGC grants) based on Section 12 (b) Law UGC, 1956.
The Commission has rejected the application Universities in December last year said, “Because the university has been notified through government notifications and not determined by state legislative actions, it cannot be included in the list of universities set as per part 2 (f) of the UU UGC, 1956.” in the letter To UGC, Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education Mishra said, “Legally and factually wrong to say that the University of Rajendra has not been established in state legislative actions.
The Law of the Odisha University, 1989 – legitimate law of the legislature – empowers the state government to establish a new university by notification.
“Mishra is more loudy T said the government has created several other universities, including the University of Women Rama Devi, University of Fakir Mohan and GM Sambalpur University under Section 32 (1) Law University of Odisha, 1989.
Many of these universities have received recognition of UGC under Part 2 (F ) from the UGC law.
Deny the same thing with Rajendra University against logic, he added.
Deputy Chancellor Rajendra Umaballava University Mohapatra said, “We have submitted a recognition, but the UGC refused.
According to the University of Odisha, 1989, the state government can establish one or more new universities by changing the territorial jurisdiction of one of the universities with notice.
