Vadodara: The couple who lived in Gorwa were arrested on Wednesday to recruit 17 rental cars and then sold them without telling the owner.
Police said that Raj Mohammed aka Pappu Sheikh and his wife Nimisha aka Anisha Sheikh had rented a car of 17 people living in various regions of Vadodara on a monthly rent of Rs 20,000 to Rs 26,000.
Duo has told the car owner that they have contacts in various companies in Vadodara and they can remove a car.
Because many car owners use their vehicles as van schools, they decide to rent their vehicles.
Apart from the legal agreement made between car owners and couples, the couple did not pay them rent.
When the car owner asked both of them to accuse returning their car, they said they had sold it.
Surprised by the actions of the duo, the car owner approached the police and cheating violations registered at the Gorwa Police Station.
