VADODARA / ANAND: Restructuring of academic courses, building new institutions of global standards and simultaneously strengthening existing institutions and making it globally competitive is the need for hours, said Dr.
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Indian Council President for Cultural Relations (ICC), New Delhi.
“These steps will change India to the destination country, attract students from all over the world,” said Sahasrabuddhe in his DDRESS at the 64th annual meeting at Sardar Patel University (SPU) on Sunday.
Governor Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, who led the ceremony, served a gold medal to 120 students in addition to providing degrees to all graduates passing.
“India is ranked 26th in the study list of options while it is the third largest source of students who want to study abroad,” said Sahasrabuddhe.
He said the new category of academic courses can be introduced as international courses other than short-term courses in the traditional Indian knowledge system.
