Ludhiana: Commissioner Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, Chairman of the improvement in the increase in Ludhiana and the Head of the Gladada Administrator has been directed to appear directly on February 1 in a local court to regulate the direction of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
Kapil Arora, the applicant directly, told the petition submitted by him against the concreteness of the tree base, NGT on March 10, 2021 had directed on, Glada and MC to take improvement steps to remove concrete about 1 meter tree radius.
But despite receiving orders, various representations and peace protests by various NGOs, MCs and lit continuing with the action of damaging the environment by closing the tree base with tiles that are interlocked in Ludhiana.
Thus, one execution application was submitted with NGT which was forwarded to the district court for the implementation of the order.
Kuldeep Singh Khaira, another RTI activist, said the officials concerned from the previous three departments were ordered to appear directly on January 7 and submit status reports about compliance with NGT’s command.
However, no one appeared on that date.
The court in his order stated that no MCL, Lit and Gladada officers had emerged as directed before.
Given the direction of NGT, New Delhi, it is very clear that respondents openly violate the direction of NGT.
Therefore to ensure a careful obedience to the NGT order, Commissioner of Ludhiana City, Chair of the Trust of Ludhiana and Head of Administrator, Glada, has been directed to appear directly on February 1, failed to adopt to adopt the coercive method to ensure their presence.
